The Show Low City Council unanimously adopted the city’s final fiscal year 2026 budget Tuesday after a staff presentation and a public hearing with no speakers.
City Finance staff presented the FY26 final budget and supporting details for the general fund, capital spending and personnel. "Our fiscal year 26 final budget is a $133,100,000," Finance staff member Mister Johnson told the council. He said total revenues for FY26 are $152,980,266, and capital spending accounts for about $60.3 million of the budget. Staff also described a projected secondary property-tax levy for the Streetlight Improvement District of about $250,000 and said the district's tax rate is 0.1401 per $100 of assessed value.
The council opened and immediately closed the public hearing because no members of the public addressed the proposed budget. After the hearing, Vice Mayor moved to adopt Resolution R2025-20 adopting the final budget for the fiscal year ending June 30, 2026; the motion passed unanimously.
Johnson told the council the tax-rate figure has been unchanged since FY2016; at the stated rate a home with an assessed value of about $150,000 would pay about $17.86 annually for the streetlight levy. He said the council will review information and adopt the secondary property-tax levy after the July 15 meeting.
The council recessed to meet separately as the Show Low Bluff Community Facilities District board to adopt that district’s final budget (see separate report).
