The Green Bay Landmarks Commission on June 18 approved a certificate of appropriateness for replacement siding and roof work on the detached garage at 515 Cass Street.
Staff noted the garage is newer than the house, described it as "loosely mid century," and said the rest of the listed work (roofing for the porch, gutters, trim) would likely have been approved at staff level if not for the garage siding. Landmark staff recommended approval of the proposed siding material and roof shingles.
A commissioner questioned whether the proposed siding matched the house; staff said it appeared similar in color and would help the garage "look like it belongs there." A motion to approve carried after a motion and second; no recorded opposition was noted.
Staff will update the property file and issue the COA paperwork to the applicant. Commissioners did not add conditions to the approval during the meeting.
