Officials said the pilot is intended to preserve student-facing positions by achieving efficiencies in facilities staffing; they emphasized the district is running lean and wanted to test the new arrangement before making a permanent appointment. The administration said it will evaluate the pilot by measuring success against project management outcomes and project completion timelines and will bring a report to the committee at year-end.
The committee voted to approve the proposed maintenance supervision restructuring.
