The presenter walked through the steps: open Teams, click the three-dot menu at the top right of the app, choose Settings, then Chats and channels (or Chats and blurring in some menus), and set the top option — labeled “View chats, teams, and channels combined and separate” — to Separate. “So I’ve hit separate. And now all of a sudden over here to the left, just like the good old days, I have a chat feature and I have a teams feature and all my team sites are here,” the staff member said.
The presenter also cautioned that some users might need to update their Teams client before the option appears. No formal action or vote was taken; the segment was a brief instructional demonstration rather than an agenda item requiring board action.
