A councilor said the appropriate venue for detailed traffic engineering review is the public works committee and moved to refer agenda item 6.4 to that committee; another councilor seconded the motion. The motion carried on a voice vote.
Councilors noted the separate nature of the Twelfth/Hammond request from broader concerns about Broadway and said any additional proposals for stop signs at Broadway and Hammond should be made separately to the council. The referral sends the petition and related comments to the public works committee for technical review and recommendation.
