Sandy Springs issues summer pedestrian-safety reminder after 2018–2022 crash data

The staff member advised children not to “dart out into the street” or cross between parked cars because it makes them harder for drivers to see. Drivers were urged to stay alert and to avoid passing another vehicle that has stopped at a crosswalk; the staff member noted the stopped vehicle could be waiting for a pedestrian the passing driver cannot see.
