District sets extended school year dates and four-day summer schedule for 12-month staff

Administrators also said that, contractually, 12-month secretaries represented by the MTEA will work a condensed four-day workweek during July 1 through Aug. 8 and that the district will align the 12-month employees' schedule with the ESY four-day schedule. The administration emphasized staff will remain available during the workweek and will be held accountable for full work obligations despite the condensed schedule.
Officials said the district will accommodate family needs for appointments or meetings during the summer and reiterated accessibility of staff. Board members thanked administrators and staff for participation in end-of-year events.
