The Crowley board of aldermen approved an appropriation of up to $35,000 to purchase mowing equipment for the recreation department to support park maintenance.

Alderman Dickey Loggley offered the item and Alderman Chuck Ashby seconded the motion; aldermen voted in favor and the motion carried. Council members noted public-works and recreation coordination: public works will cut the parks but recreation is purchasing the mowers.
