Public Works said the low bidder is a local construction firm and the next lowest bid was submitted by another regional contractor; staff recommended tabling an award until the engineer answers outstanding questions and verifies quantities, scope and eligibility under the CDBG program.
The commission agreed to delay action and asked staff and the project engineer to return with clarifications at a subsequent meeting before proceeding with a contract award.
