The Renton City Council on Tuesday concurred with the Utilities Committee to approve two items: an amendment to a design contract for a storm system improvement project and an agreement to temporarily transfer sewer service for two properties outside city limits.
The Utilities Committee recommended authorizing Amendment No. 4 to contract 22072 with WSP USA Incorporated in the amount of $479,256 for additional design services on the Hardy Avenue SW / SW Seventh Street Storm System Improvement Project (Phase 3). The council moved, seconded and approved concurrence with the committee recommendation.
Separately, the council authorized execution of an agreement with the Skyway Water and Sewer District for the temporary transfer of sewer service area in order to serve two properties located at 12804 and 12836 80th Avenue South. Both properties were noted on the record as being inside the city’s wastewater service area but outside current city limits; the transfer is intended to permit sewer service to the parcels.
Both items were presented as routine committee recommendations and adopted without recorded opposition; the utilities committee packet materials and final contract documents will provide the full technical scope, schedule and budget allocation details.
