Dr. Ledbetter reported the amendment increases the county’s FY 2025 CSBG allocation to “$321,822 and a penny”; the additional funds will support senior nutrition (including home‑delivered meals), equipment and technology upgrades, tutoring programs administered through the Salvation Army and Fairmont tutorial program, youth nutrition (backpack and food for kids), and agency capacity building such as software licensing and training. Administrative costs remain at 15% of the grant and local administration is managed through Three Rivers Regional Commission.
The board accepted the funds by a 3–0 voice vote; staff said the amendment does not create new programs but expands support for existing services.
