Council continues Warren Works funding through 2025, will revisit after September brand launch

Warren City Council voted 5-0 Monday to continue monthly payments to Warren Works through Dec. 31, 2025, and to review whether to continue or change the group's funding levels during the councils 2026 budget process after the organizations planned brand launch in September.

The funding decision follows a 30-minute presentation by Warren Works representatives that reviewed the groups year-one activities, fundraising and a proposed marketing rollout. The memorandum of understanding approved by council in April 2024 pledged an initial $100,000 from the city for year one, with monthly payments of $8,333 to begin after the marketing director was hired and a branding consultant onboarded; those payments began in August 2024, the presentation said.
