Walworth County extension reports partnerships with 55 nonprofits, 43 schools and multiple local agencies

At the June 16 Agriculture Extension Education Committee meeting staff presented an inventory of Extension partnerships and told members the office documented the range of organizations that help plan, develop or deliver programs.
The presenter defined partners as organizations or groups that provide access to audiences, facilities, or financial or in‑kind support. The packet item labelled “partnerships 2024” shows the county extension works with 55 nonprofits, 43 schools (including some universities outside Wisconsin), 12 municipalities, 11 for‑profit businesses, nine county departments and nine libraries.
The presenter said the inventory is intended to show how Extension leverages partner resources to expand reach, share innovation and identify community needs. The presenter noted partner relationships help both to deliver programs in community spaces and to build mutual capacity between Extension and partner organizations.
The committee did not take formal action on the partnerships inventory; members were offered the document for information and asked whether they had questions. No further motions or directives were made during the agenda item.
