Limestone County commissioners approved a package of personnel actions, merit increases and revisions to the county personnel policy at their July 16 meeting.
Earlier in the meeting the commission considered a promotion for Landon Navis to Equipment Operator II effective June 16; that motion passed with three votes in favor and Commissioner Townsend recorded as abstaining. Later, the board approved a combined motion covering the remaining personnel items — promotions, hires and a staffing-plan amendment — and the proposed revisions to the Limestone County personnel policy and procedure. That combined motion passed unanimously.
The combined motion approved the following (as read into the record): a $100 pay promotion (specific employee not named in the motion text), promotion of Mason Billions, hiring of Jacob Neely as a corrections officer, promotion of Uzi Vasquez from deputy sheriff to SRO, promotion of Adrian Davis from corrections officer to deputy sheriff, hires including Austin Harris as deputy sheriff and Eric Skyler Adams as a part-time laborer for recycling, an amendment to the staffing plan to remove one full-time driver and add two part-time senior aides, and hiring Michelle Robinson as a part-time senior aide. Commissioners said these actions would be effective June 16.
Commissioners approved merit increases in a separate unanimous vote. County staff did not present additional personnel details or salary amounts beyond the items read into the record during the meeting.
