The committee spent time on formatting and "scrivener's" errors (page numbering, bolding, paragraph indentation and typographical fixes) and instructed staff to finalize those corrections before sending the chapter to the executive committee.
Why it matters: members said adopting the state's recodified structure clarifies the ordinance and avoids conflicts between county text and the statutory schedule used by the courts. The committee asked staff to ensure the version taken to the executive committee is the corrected June 5 edition and to double-check numbers and cross-references.
The motion to pass Chapter 37 as amended carried; staff will submit the corrected text to the executive committee next month.
