Columbus public art strategy nears final draft; public reveal set for Aug. 16

Rhea Ramirez and staff presented progress on a draft public art strategy at the July 9 meeting of the Columbus Arts Commission, saying the document’s core sections are near final and that the implementation guide will be treated as an internal tool for administering city projects.
Ramirez said the strategy team has been coordinating with the Department of Public Service and the Department of Water and Power for technical corrections and expects a final package in about six weeks. "We are really nearing the end of, you know, making any changes," she said, adding that the mayor’s office and city counsel will review the joint letter accompanying the plan.
