The Great Neck Union Free School District Board of Education recorded several unanimous votes at its June 17 meeting, including approval of minutes, acceptance of donations, adoption of new policies required by New York State, approval of a consent agenda and a motion to enter executive session.
The board voted 5–0 to approve the minutes of the June 4 regular meeting. The district also accepted four agenda donations (items 8A–8D) by unanimous voice vote; the meeting transcript lists the donations but did not specify amounts for all items.
On policies, Trustee Joanne Chan presented two items for second reading and adoption. Policy 5,695, "Personal electronic communication devices," was amended to reflect New York State guidance that goes into effect on July 1, 2025. Policy 22-45, "Student member of the board," implements state requirements to provide a formal student perspective in board governance. Both policies were adopted by a 5–0 vote.
The board approved a consent agenda (agenda item 10) covering multiple personnel, contract and program items (items 10B–13G on the printed agenda) by a 5–0 vote.
Finally, the board voted to adjourn into executive session for personnel matters; that motion passed 5–0.
Recorded roll-call votes in the transcript show President Tock, Vice President Perez, Trustee Joanne Chan, Trustee Mr. Chen and Trustee Ms. Assuni voting in favor of the motions where individual roll call was recorded; the transcript does not attribute motion movers or seconders by name for every action.
