Lisle board approves appointments, permits and contracts; final stormwater change order adopted

The Village of Lisle on June 16 approved appointments to advisory commissions and a consent agenda that included event permits, professional services agreements and a final change order for a major stormwater project.
The board approved the appointment of Phil Modaff to the Planning and Zoning Commission for a term ending April 30, 2028. The board also approved advisory appointments of Amish Patel and Robert (Rob) Salerno to the Economic Development Commission. Each appointment was approved by roll call.
On the consent agenda, staff presented and the board approved several routine and contract items. Deputy Village Manager Mitchell summarized the items, including approval of minutes, the invoice list for the meeting ($275,513.35) and the monthly treasurer's report for May 2025.
Notable consent approvals included: - A special event permit for the AVIVA 20th anniversary block party scheduled for Sept. 5–6, 2025, with amplified music to 10 p.m.; - A temporary use permit for a circus at Benedictine University from Aug. 14–Aug. 31, 2025 (weekend and weekday show schedule), with a possible extension to Sept. 7 in case of inclement weather; - Professional services agreements with BNF Construction Code Services for building code plan review and inspections through the current fiscal year with three optional one-year extensions, and with Fire Safety Consultants, Inc., for complementary fire plan review and inspections; and - Change Order No. 3 for the Village Center South stormwater improvement project in the amount of $109,472.32, described as the final reconciliation for the roughly $3,300,000 project that installed more than 1 mile of storm sewer ranging from 12- to 42-inch diameter and outletting to the East Branch of the DuPage River. The budget amendment funds the final change order from the general fund to the stormwater fund with $41,399 in expenditure carryovers to the current fiscal year.
The consent agenda was approved by roll call (Trustee Duffy, Trustee Saima, Trustee Grau, Trustee Lesniak, Trustee McGovern and Trustee Olson voting "aye").
