Council to authorize easement with Mohawk Harbor developer to permit public landing construction

Staff explained that council previously approved a construction contract with Carver Construction for a landing at Mohawk Harbor, but the landing is not on city-owned property; the city therefore needs an easement to allow construction and public access. Committee members confirmed the easement would not add project cost and moved the item forward without further objection.
The motion will authorize staff to finalize an easement with the private property owner so the approved contractor can complete the landing and the public can access the waterfront feature.
