Water charges were reported at $747,007.66 compared with about $546,000 the previous year; wastewater revenues were reported at about $1,229,000 compared with $1,139,000 last year. Stormwater funds were also reported in the positive.
Equipment and staffing: Wayne (staff) reported the digger-derrick truck vendor now expects a September delivery window after design reviews and some specification modifications; staff previously anticipated different timing. Board members discussed showing the vehicle at a public meeting or public-power week event if it arrives in time. The board also heard a ceremonial recognition: Cody Krueger completed a four-year journeyman lineman apprenticeship and state certification; staff and the board recognized him with applause.
Community programs and other reports: staff highlighted a Focus on Energy summary in the packet showing $74,412 in incentive dollars returned to the community in 2024, which staff said outpaced the roughly $50,000 sent out. Staff also reviewed the spring cleanup event: about 1,500 residents used the program this spring compared with 1,036 last fall, and staff noted operational challenges at closing time when temporary employees could not keep lines open past the scheduled closing hour.
