Adams County enacts zoning amendment for Colburn parcel

Adams County supervisors enacted Ordinance No. 12 — an amendment to the county zoning ordinance and zoning map affecting a parcel in the Town of Colburn — after a brief explanation from planning staff.
The ordinance (listed as Ordinance 12 20 25) would amend Adams County Ordinance 24 20 18 and the corresponding zoning maps to reflect a change for property at the northwest quarter of the northwest quarter of Section 34, Town 19 North, Range 7 East, Town of Colburn. Planning staff advised the board that the petitioners were two families who want to split the parcel so they can transfer parts to family members at a later date. Lauren from Planning and Zoning summarized, “It’s 2 families. They want to split it, so that they can give it to their families later on in life.”
Supervisor Creviglio moved to enact the ordinance; Supervisor Poehler seconded. The clerk recorded 20 total votes, 20 yes; the ordinance was enacted.
