Planning director says county compiling wastewater options; aims to bring proposal to planning commission by August

County planning staff told commissioners the county is advancing work on wastewater solutions as part of its comprehensive plan and expects to present options to the planning commission later this summer.
"We're trying to get that to the planning commission by July...my goal. Let's try to have something to the planning commission by August," Director White told commissioners during the meeting.
Staff said they have reviewed several technologies and met with subject-matter presenters; another presentation is scheduled in July. The goal is to consolidate technical options and a recommended path for the planning commission and then to fold the wastewater recommendations into the county comprehensive plan.
The update was procedural: no formal votes were taken on wastewater policy, and staff asked commissioners to expect additional briefings as they prepare materials for the planning commission.
