The Select Board on June 16 approved the appointment of Lindsay Rockwood as administrative assistant for the Town of North Brookfield water department.
Jamie Munn, superintendent, presented Rockwood to the board, saying the department and board find her "an excellent addition" with an "outstanding" resume. Rockwood told the board she has roughly 10 years in municipal work, lives in North Brookfield and volunteers locally; she said she is "excited to take on this role." She also said she served as interim superintendent of the highway department in a nearby town for six months during a winter season.
A motion to appoint Rockwood was moved and seconded and approved by voice vote. The board did not discuss salary or start date during the public portion of the meeting.
