Vigo County updates Rosedale Road closure, culvert replacements and West Side resurfacing work
Summary
County staff updated commissioners on local paving and bridge work: a Rosedale Road closure for culvert replacement tied to an ARPA project is expected to reopen soon, and contractor Milestone is working on a large West Side resurfacing project that will precede local paving.

County staff provided updates on several road and bridge projects, including an ARPA-funded culvert replacement on Rosedale Road and a larger resurfacing project on the county’s West Side.
Larry, a county staff member, said a bridge replacement project is under way and that high water had delayed demolition activity but crews were continuing work. He reported Rosedale Road was shut down for a cold (culvert) replacement and said paving was planned; staff expected the road to reopen the next day.
Larry also described a large West Side resurfacing contract being carried out by Milestone, which he said is working on the resurfacing across "1 50" to the state line and is replacing handicap ramps and concrete under a viaduct that is currently closed. He said Milestone will likely move on to local county paving projects, including those funded through Community Crossings, when that larger resurfacing work is finished.
The commissioners received the status updates; no formal votes or project awards were taken during the meeting. Staff framed the Rosedale Road work as part of the county’s ARPA-funded projects and said the paving and culvert replacements are ongoing.
