Town of Speedway announces 2025 Meadowood Park summer concert series

Tammy Smith, parks director for the Town of Speedway, announced the town's 2025 summer concert series at Meadowood Park, with Thursday evening performances from 7 to 9 p.m. beginning June 26 and concluding Aug. 14, 2025.
The weekly series brings local and visiting bands to the park over eight dates. Smith said the concert run is supported by local sponsors and invited residents and businesses to attend or sponsor future events.
The lineup Smith announced begins June 26 with the Gene Markowitz Band. On July 3 the Indiana National Guard "30 eighth Infantry Division" band will perform in a concert noted to celebrate the Army's 250th anniversary. Subsequent performances listed by Smith are July 10: Damaged Goods; July 17: Soul Street; July 24: The Last Alpaca; July 31: Tres Amigos; Aug. 7: The Party Band; and Aug. 14: Serenade Jazz Orchestra.
Smith listed sponsors that helped fund the series: Speedway Lions Club, Wessler Engineering, Alliance Insurance Company, Curtis and Jennifer Miller family, and Funday's Ice Cream and Sweets. She provided a contact for sponsorship and questions: parks@speedwayin.gov.
"We hope you plan on coming out and joining us for the summer fun," Smith said.
Smith's announcement was delivered on-site at Meadowood Park; no formal council action or vote was reported during the remarks. The town encouraged residents to attend the Thursday concerts from 7 to 9 p.m. through Aug. 14.
