Commissioners discussed interim repairs the county’s crew could perform using existing equipment to stabilize the wall and said they would seek two or three contractor bids for a full replacement so budget implications are known during the next budgeting cycle. Don Smith recommended the county salvage usable material and use county equipment to reduce costs; staff noted some stonework and iron-fence features from earlier installations that might affect design choices.
The board did not approve funding at Tuesday’s meeting but directed staff to obtain cost estimates and to return with quotes for consideration during budget planning.
