Court members and staff discussed which schools select topics based on curricular needs and whether bullying programming should be offered in every school. A court member noted the county has historically budgeted $900 for Kids on the Block and that that amount typically covers about two programs; Amanda said the group also receives support from the Carpenter Foundation and that additional funding would let it reach more grade levels at larger schools.
No formal vote or appropriation was made at the meeting; court members asked staff to consider the request during upcoming budget work and to follow up with the presenter about details and scheduling.
