Pulaski County Fiscal Court approved a first amendment to the 2025 budget and a $500,000 transfer from the general fund to the road department to support recovery and road work after the recent tornado.
Finance staff asked the court to approve the May bank reconciliation and the budget amendment. The court approved the bank reconciliation on a motion by Mr. Renshaw, seconded by Mr. Turpin; the record shows the motion carried by voice vote.
The court then approved the first amendment to the 2025 budget. Court members approved a motion to enact the amendment; the motion carried by voice vote.
Later in the meeting the court voted to transfer $500,000 from the general fund to the road department. The motion to transfer funds was made by Mr. Renshaw and seconded by Mr. Strunk and carried by voice vote.
Why it matters: the transfer targets road repair and cleanup work after tornado damage; officials said road crews have been active and mutual aid crews assisted in clearing debris.
