The four‑year addendum the committee approved allocates $853,224 over the term: $188,376 in year one and $221,616 in each of years two through four. Colin said the vendor voluntarily reduced its price by 15% for next fiscal year to help the county manage tighter revenues.
Colin described services covered by the contract, including enterprise GIS maintenance, ArcGIS Online licensing and coordination of large projects such as aerial imagery flights (the county performs quality control and project coordination; vendors perform flights). He said the GIS team also provides staff augmentation, technical support and data analyses — for example, the redistricting work the county completed in a prior cycle.
Committee action: The committee voted on a resolution authorizing the four‑year contract addendum; the motion passed by roll call. Colin said the group will continue monthly reporting and that he expects staff to appear at committee meetings while the contract is in effect.
