Resident urges clearer maps, published minutes and comprehensive-plan updates during public comment

Mike Faruqi, who identified himself as a Decatur resident, said he had repeatedly asked the commission “could we have a bigger picture map of where these things are in relation?” He told commissioners, “I have no idea where Gibbs Street was,” and urged staff to show a map that locates small parcel exhibits within the broader city so residents unfamiliar with every street can understand potential impacts.
