Board swears in two trustees and elects officers for 2025-26

At its June 16 meeting the Lake Wales Charter Schools Board of Trustees completed its organizational business: two new trustees were sworn in and board officers for 2025-26 were elected.
Jamie Winfrey and Keith Thompson took the oath of office administered on the dais. The board then approved a slate of housekeeping items including the May meeting minutes and other routine approvals presented during the work session.
Trustees elected Rafael as board chair for the 2025-26 year (motion by Tanya; seconded), selected Doctor Hutto as vice chair, named Brian as treasurer and appointed Doctor Lynn Johnson as corporate secretary. Each nomination was seconded and approved by voice vote.
Separately, trustees moved and approved the personnel- and meeting-related items presented earlier, including the employee handbook and financial report. Chair Danny Gill closed his final meeting and handed organizational responsibilities to the newly elected chair.
