The Oklahoma City Economic Development Trust approved a professional services agreement with the Oklahoma City Economic Development Foundation Incorporated at its June 17 meeting. Staff said the base contract remains the same as the prior year and the item was deferred from the previous meeting to answer questions.
A city presenter explained that the only substantive change is an increase in budgeted authority for additional services; those additional funds would only be spent if specifically requested and approved by the city manager's office. "That money is not spent if it's not new if it's not requested to be used, and those requests have to come back through the city and be approved by the city manager's office," the presenter said.
Trustees had no recorded questions in the public transcript, and the item was moved, seconded and approved on a voice vote.
The contract preserves last year's base services and allows flexibility for additional projects tied to major upcoming events, the presenter said; any use of additional funds requires formal city authorization before disbursement.
