Duvall council adopts 2024 comprehensive-plan update

The Duvall City Council adopted the city’s 2024 comprehensive-plan update during the June 17 meeting after a planning-commission recommendation and multiple staff briefings.
Senior planner Montez Villoca presented the final plan and staff asked the council to adopt. A council member moved and another seconded; the council voted in favor. Council members praised planning staff for the long effort, noting the plan’s expanded scope, new trails and open-space modules, and updated elements to meet recent state statutory requirements.
Staff said the plan is interactive and will be made available in an updated online format. The plan will be incorporated into permitting and planning tools as staff complete associated checklist and portal updates through the summer.
The adoption was a procedural vote of the council; no related budget appropriation was taken at the meeting.
