KIRKLAND, Wash. — The Washington State Department of Transportation local programs office presented Kirkland with an Award of Excellence for the Totem Lake Connector Bridge at the June 17 meeting of the City Council.
Public Works Director Chuck Deaver introduced WSDOT guests, who praised the project as a significant safety and multimodal improvement and an iconic community landmark. WSDOT’s local programs director and a regional engineer presented a poster and plaque honoring the project and thanked the city staff, consultants and contractors who delivered the design and construction work. The council acknowledged the award and staff involved, and the city accepted the recognition.
