Narragansett Historical Society teapots showcased for annual "Tea in the Garden"

"I didn't realize what a variety we had until I pulled them out to wash them for the tea event. I hosted it last year, so I got in there up close and personal with them all. And I'm like, look at all these. I couldn't believe what we had," she said, describing teapots that were "old ones, new ones, delicate China ones" and others that looked like metal or a small stove.
The resident described the event as a June offering that charges $5 and provides attendees "a pot of tea and a plate of assorted goodies" to enjoy in the garden. She said the display of different teapots is a highlight for visitors.
Her remarks were made during the public comment portion of the meeting; no formal action or town vote on the event or the collection was taken at the session.
