City Administrator Jerry Haddix told the South Lebanon City Council on June 17 that Morrow Road is scheduled to close next Monday for a project expected to last nine weeks, though staff said contractors may finish earlier.
Sergeant Adams of the police department said the city has ordered two traffic speed signs approved in the budget: one battery powered and one solar powered. Adams said the solar unit will likely remain deployed longer in some locations because of installation and solar positioning needs.
Council members and staff said July 4 event arrangements are largely complete: parade lineup at 1 p.m., parade starts at 2 p.m., and the evening festival begins at 6 p.m. The events committee also reminded the public of an outdoor movie night on Aug. 2 and National Night Out on Aug. 5.
No formal council action was recorded specifically for the road-closure schedule or the speed-sign deployment at the June 17 meeting; those items were presented as staff updates and logistics for upcoming events.
