Town manager reports audit date, Main Street waterline completion, sewer grant application status

Jim, the town manager, told the Wolfeboro Budget Committee that the Board of Selectmen will receive draft budget guidelines on July 16 and that staff hopes to issue guidance to department heads on July 17. He said the town is aiming to present the audit report to the Board of Selectmen in public session on Aug. 20 and reported that the Main Street waterline project is “finally buttoned up.”
Jim also said the town has applied for a sewer-line replacement grant. He noted that prior grant rounds placed the town “sixtieth on the list” in an earlier year and “in the thirties” last year, and that if the town scores well it could result in a warrant-item request for funding consideration.
Those items were presented as informational updates; no budget allocations or formal votes on grant acceptance were taken at the meeting. Committee members thanked staff for the project follow-through and for reducing outstanding capital issues for the summer.
