Park County moves to approve Blackfoot and Charter service agreements pending attorney review

Park County commissioners on June 17, 2020, approved entering contracts with Blackfoot for direct Internet access to county and city sites and a Charter service agreement to provide cable-modem and LTE backup to search-and-rescue and shop sites, contingent on county counsel’s review of final contract language.
Erica Hoffman, Park County IT director, told the commission the agreements are standard 36-month contracts needed to move forward with the county’s ISP project and to provide secondary service and LTE backup for remote sites. “These contracts are for bringing direct Internet access to all the sites that we need, including the city sites and the county sites,” Hoffman said.
Commissioner Waltz moved to approve the Blackfoot contract and the Charter service agreement subject to the county attorney’s signoff on final language. The motion was seconded and approved by voice vote.
County staff said the items were included in the fiscal year 2026 budget. No public commenter objected during the hearing. The contracts will be signed after the county attorney completes review of the final written agreements.
