Staff said the cemetery board meets every other month and needed a fifth member; the board unanimously recommended Skillman, citing his local knowledge and interest in maintaining rural cemeteries. Commissioner Wells supported the appointment and commissioners approved by voice vote.
The appointment fills a vacancy and will allow the cemetery board to maintain meeting quorum and continue oversight of rural cemetery maintenance and preservation work.
