Park County commissioners authorized Staley Engineering May 27 to prepare bid documents and lead procurement for a ceiling insulation project in the Fairgrounds Exhibit Hall.
County staff said the project will add insulation under the roof to improve building efficiency and support recently installed HVAC units. The work will be paid from COVID-related health department grant reserves set aside for Fairgrounds facility improvements. Staley Engineering will produce a bid package; the county will open and award the construction contract to the lowest responsive bidder per procurement rules.
Commissioners noted the project will reduce energy costs and improve HVAC performance. The task order was approved by voice vote and staff said work will proceed to bid and construction pending bid results and contract award.
