Miss Carver described the award as “equivalent to about a $170,000 grant, from Leader and Me to implement it district wide,” and said the program will be phased in over three to five years with initial district-level training in year one and school-level onboarding in subsequent years.
Board action and next steps: No contract was available at the June 17 meeting, so the board did not vote on a contract; staff said they will bring the contract to the board for approval when it is finalized. Principals have been briefed and staff said they intend to align Leader in Me with the district’s existing Profile of a Learner to avoid creating duplicate requirements for teachers and students.
