Public Works presented the resolution as a way to leverage an existing competitively procured contract (Daytona contract 2420MSCF) and obtain favorable pricing and terms without running a new standalone procurement. The contract covers routine and emergency maintenance, controls and full equipment replacement when necessary. Funding will come from the General Fund account referenced in staff materials.
Council asked whether there were outstanding obligations under the prior ABM contract; Public Works said ABM chose not to renew and that the city had completed the agreement’s term with no remaining payments outstanding. The resolution passed by voice vote with no recorded nays.
