Central York Policy Committee sends updated bullying, cyberbullying policy to first read

The Central York Policy Committee reviewed proposed revisions to Policy 249 on bullying and cyberbullying and agreed to send the updated policy to a first reading after staff incorporates several edits and attachments.

Committee members and staff spent the meeting reviewing new language that clarifies acceptable complaint routes, confidentiality requirements, coordination with Title IX and other discrimination investigations, and delegation and review timelines. The committee directed staff to draft administrative regulations (ARs) to implement the policy, attach a reporting form and return the policy for first read once those edits are made.

The changes under consideration add language encouraging use of the district report form but retaining acceptance and documentation of oral complaints.
