Mike Pinkston informed the committee that the Tree Commission referred that the gazebo be named after the Rotary Club and that the park return to the name Frost Park “to honor Mr. Frost's investment to the area.” Council member Hayes moved that the director of law draft legislation renaming Fort Ball Rotary Park to Rotary Club of Tiffin Centennial Park; the motion was seconded and carried at first reading.
The resolution, number 2025-30, was introduced by Council member Kyle Dougherty as a first reading at the council session; no final adoption vote was recorded at this meeting. The resolution will return for subsequent readings where council may vote to adopt it into law.
Ending: The council did not finalize the renaming during the June 9 meeting; the law director was directed to draft the implementing language for future consideration.
