The City of Port Orchard council adopted an ordinance on June 17 amending the 2025–26 biennial budget to reflect actual beginning fund balances and several project and personnel updates.
Finance staff said the ordinance adjusts beginning fund balances for all funds to reflect actual 2025‑01‑01 balances and makes minor revenue and expenditure changes for projects including Givens Park, the Marina Pump Station project and the Sewer Lift Station Controls project. Exhibit A of the ordinance was amended to update personnel positions and pay ranges: the Municipal Court judge position salary and FTE were updated to reflect an awarded contract, the patrol officer title was changed to police officer to align with the guild contract, and police officer pay ranges were adjusted to reflect negotiated contracts.
Councilmember Trenary moved adoption; the motion passed unanimously.
