The CHSD 155 Board of Education voted to allow board members to attend the Illinois Association of School Boards/Illinois Association of School Administrators/Illinois Association of School Business Officials joint annual conference in Chicago in November 2025 and to reimburse expenses under board policy 2-125, and then moved to adjourn into executive session to discuss personnel matters.
A board member described the conference as an annual opportunity for boards across Illinois to attend sessions about governance and student learning. The board authorized reimbursement for travel, food (excluding alcohol) and hotel accommodations up to two nights per board policy 2-125. The motion to permit board attendance and reimbursement was moved by Stephanie Mackrell and seconded by Steve Keefer; roll-call votes were affirmative.
After that vote the board moved to adjourn into executive session to discuss "section 120-2(c)(1), the appointment, employment, compensation, discipline, performance, or dismissal of specific employees." The motion to adjourn into executive session was moved by Dave Jenkins and seconded by Ryan Olsen; roll-call votes were recorded as yes and the board adjourned for executive session. The board stated it did not expect any action upon return from executive session.
