Superintendent Dr. Lesinski told the CHSD 155 board the district recorded several state-level athletic finishes, saw improvement on multiple strategic-plan metrics, and received a national communications award.
Dr. Lesinski said PR softball finished third in the state, CG baseball finished fourth, PR boys tennis placed second in Class 1A and other teams also had notable seasons. He thanked coaches and building staff for their work and told the board that five of six strategic-plan metrics improved year over year, including an increase in the percentage of students earning a 2.8 GPA or higher and growth in multilingual students meeting that benchmark. He said the district would present a full strategic-plan data report at the board's July meeting.
Lesinski also congratulated Shannon and communications staff and an intern, noting the district received the National School Public Relations Association Golden Achievement Award for a capital-improvement launch video tied to alternative-revenue bonds. He said the district will transition its website provider over the next year to better meet community needs. No policy actions or dollar figures were tied to the website transition in the meeting discussion.
