CHSD 155 renews three operations contracts for 2025'26 school year

The CHSD 155 Board of Education approved one-year contract renewals for custodial supplies, janitorial services at the district office, and districtwide trash and recycling services, all set to begin July 1, 2025.
Troy Stinger, the district's director of operations, told the board the operations committee reviewed three contract renewals and recommended extending each for one year. The custodial-supplies contract would be renewed with Cobain Company; janitorial services for the District Center for Education would be renewed with MultiSystem Management Company; and trash removal and recycling services would be renewed with Marengo Disposal (MDC).
Each renewal was approved on a roll-call vote. The custodial-supplies motion was moved by Ryan Olsen and seconded by Stephanie Mackrell. The janitorial-services motion was moved by Dave Jenkins and seconded by Elizabeth Lund. The trash and recycling motion was moved by Stephanie Mackrell and seconded by Elizabeth Lund. All recorded votes were affirmative.
Stinger said the one-year renewals would begin July 1 and allow the district to continue operations while staff monitor performance and plan for future procurement cycles. No contract dollar amounts were disclosed in the meeting.
