Council extends Farm Road 93 Community Improvement District expiration to Dec. 31, 2025

The City Council approved an ordinance amending a previous ordinance to extend the term of the Farm Road 93 Community Improvement District, moving the district’s expiration from June 30, 2025 to Dec. 31, 2025.
Community development director Karen Haines told council the CID requested the extension to allow additional time to prepare and submit a preliminary plat and the infrastructure/engineering plans required for subsequent city review and for any developer agreement that will require final council approval.
Haines said staff recommends approval. Council member Abdiak asked for the reason for the delay; Haines replied that the CID needs additional time to complete the plat and engineering plans. No members of the public spoke on the item. The council approved the second reading and final passage by roll call (vote recorded as 8-0).
