Commission approves new leases, license agreements and purchase of video archiver after full storage caused camera outages

He described a planned purchase of a new video archiver from Payvion Corporation (formerly Cygnet) after the airport’s existing archiver, which “currently sits at a 140 terabytes,” reached capacity: “it reached its max of a 140 terabytes and started to shut down, which caused a loss in our video cameras, which is definitely a security issue,” Smith said. The new unit is a 220‑terabyte archiver intended to provide overflow capacity and help meet TSA record-retention requirements (video must be retained at least 30 days).
Commissioner Planser moved to approve the contracts as presented; the motion was seconded and carried. The verbal roll-call recorded “Aye” votes from the commissioner who moved, Commissioner DeMarques, and the chair; the chair declared the motion passed by unanimous consent. The McFarland Johnson amendment for PFAS services was included in this multi-item consent.
